Growing how-to

Soak seeds in tepid water overnight. Fill a shallow tray with 2 inches of moist soil, then spread seeds over the soil; cover with wet newspaper. Set in a warm, dark place for four days; remove newspaper and place in a sunny window until they’re 2 to 3 inches tall, with at least two leaves, about two weeks. For watering: Press your thumb against top of soil. If it comes off clean and dry, water the greens.
