Slip-proof a doormat

-

The mat you placed at your kitchen door is great at trapping dirt from your shoes, but it keeps sliding all over the floor. Instead of buying a rug pad to keep it in place, simply cut an old mouse pad into four squares and glue each piece to the bottom corners of the doormat (rubber side down). The rubbery grip will increase friction so the doormat stays put.
