Smoky Southwestern Chili

11⁄2 lbs. ground beef 1 onion, chopped
1 (15 oz.) can kidney beans, rinsed and drained
1 (15 oz.) can tomato sauce
2 Tbs. chili powder
1 (28 oz.) can crushed
tomatoes
1 (15 oz.) can corn,
drained
2 tsp. ground cumin
1 tsp. dried oregano
1 tsp. sugar
In large skillet over medium-high heat, cook beef and onions until beef is browned, stirring often; drain. In 31⁄2−4-qt. slow cooker, combine all ingredients. Cover; cook on low 5−6 hrs. until mixture is thick and flavorful.
