Pretty up the table

with a floral-kissed quartet

All it takes is an old tray, dessert cups and a few blooms to create a stunning floral focal point for any table! To do: Set four footed dessert bowls on a wooden tray. Fill each bowl halfway with water, then snip four pink peonies and four peony buds to 2", pop into each glass and place the tray on a table. To finish, lay snippets of strawberry vines on the tray.

Show your love

with fresh jam favors

Homemade preserves make for sweet take-home treats! To do: Add 1 pound of strawberries (hulled and chopped) to a saucepan with 1 cup of sugar and 1 Tbs. of lemon juice. Bring to a boil over medium heat, cooking until thick (about 20 minutes). Remove from heat, cool and pour into jars; screw on lids. Cover lids with cut-to-fit squares of fabric; tie on a tag. Store in fridge for up to 10 days.

Sweeten their day

with just-picked perfection

The key to creating a charming backyard brunch that celebrates strawberry season in so-pretty style: combining punchy pastel hues with fresh-picked berries and blooms. Here, an outdoor table is topped with a neutral striped satin cloth and a “runner” composed of ribbons in pink and blue cotton-candy hues. Adding simple dinnerware, doily-adorned napkins and bowls of juicy strawberries furthers the stylish-meets-sweet feel. The extraspecial flair: pink “blooming” place cards (made by filling a tiny flowerpot with peony petals, a strawberry and a name card attached to white floral wire). It’s a perfect place to spend a sunny day catching up with the girls!
