Keep bugs out of wet paint
Giving the wooden fence in your front yard a new coat of paint will certainly increase your curb appeal, but painting outdoors can be tough, as bugs end up flying onto the wet surface and drying into the paint’s finish. The simple way to avoid this? Stir 2 to 3 drops of citronella oil into each gallon of paint. Bugs find the scent unpleasant, so they’ll steer clear.
