Chocolate dream pie

“My family’s go-to dessert at our favorite restaurant is their classic chocolate cream pie,” says Charles Grayauskie, FIRST associate food editor. “So I surprised everyone at last week’s Sunday dinner with this easy homemade version. To make, I start with a 9" frozen pie shell and bake it according to the directions. Then I heat 2 (3.4 oz.) boxes of cookand-serve chocolate pudding according to directions, stirring in 1⁄4 cup of chopped dark chocolate until melted. Next, I pour the mixture into the cooled piecrust and chill until set. To serve, I add a dollop of whipped cream and chocolate leaves. It’s so easy, and the silky texture wowed!”
