Try back-panel “skinnies”

-

Ugh! With each passing year, gravity seems to pull our rear farther south—and the more it sags, the bigger it looks. Luckily, the right pair of jeans can not only minimize the backside, but new innovations in denim actually give the butt a natural-looking lift, sans surgery! “Denim brands are designing jeans with built-in shaping panels that sculpt the bottom while holding it up,” says stylist Samantha Brown, who’s worked with Candice Bergen and Jennifer Nettles.

Also slimming? “The column of dark color from denim in a deep indigo wash helps the bottom optically recede, while large back pockets make the rear look tiny in comparison,” says Brown. Pairing them with a floral-print blouse directs attention up to further the “lifted” illusion, while the height of tapered-heel sandals give the butt an added boost.
