Cuddle buddies

Edinburgh, Scotland— Meet Kalari, the 8-monthold baby koala. This tiny tot, the first female koala to be born at the Edinburgh Zoo, was a bit nervous about her first weigh-in and checkup. To help ease her fears, staffers provided her with a cuddly stuffed animal to cling to for comfort. Thanks to her new “friend,” Kalari was completely at ease—and seemed quite smitten.
