First For Women

“My migraines and moodiness? Gone!”

-

Cindi Levengood wanted to enjoy date night with her husband, but as she stood in front of her closet to get ready, she lost her nerve. I can’t go, she thought. I just don’t feel like myself.

Cindi was dealing with hormone imbalances, migraines and moodiness, as well as prediabetes. “It felt like I was fighting a losing battle,” she says. “I’d always been able to keep weight gain at bay by dieting, but once I went through menopause, the scale only crept up.”

Then Cindi learned about Ann Louise Gittleman’s nutrition advice. “I was skeptical, but I tried it,” recalls Cindi, who started focusing on healthy fats and smart carbs. She lost 7 pounds the first four days. “I was shocked!”

During this healthy turn, Cindi made her own salad dressing out of hempseed oil and cooked burgers in ghee. She explains, “It was similar to Atkins, but super healthy—and I could have carbs. If I wanted rice or gluten-free crackers, I could eat them!”

Within one month, Cindi’s chronic migraines lifted. After three months, she was no longer prediabetic. “My doctor was stunned!” In all, Cindi shed 63 stubborn pounds. Now her dieting days are over. “Even when I splurge a little, I have no problem maintaining my weight. Everyone wants to know my secret!”

Most of all,

Cindi’s confidence has transformed.

“My husband and I are like kids again!”

She adds, “These days, we have a weekly contest to see who can come up with the best date night. So far,

I’m winning!”
