Feeling connected to a higher power helps you better weather daily stress, say researcher­s from Baylor University in Waco, Texas, and Harvard University. In their study of nearly 2,800 people, subjects who reported feeling God’s love or a sense of inner peace were more likely to say they were flourishin­g in spite of daily challenges. The authors speculate that focusing on spirituali­ty interrupts rumination, plus it helps us feel grateful and calm.
