Relief from the daily grind
Feeling connected to a higher power helps you better weather daily stress, say researchers from Baylor University in Waco, Texas, and Harvard University. In their study of nearly 2,800 people, subjects who reported feeling God’s love or a sense of inner peace were more likely to say they were flourishing in spite of daily challenges. The authors speculate that focusing on spirituality interrupts rumination, plus it helps us feel grateful and calm.
