Good news about masks
They don’t impede your ability to get enough oxygen, say researchers at Canada’s University of Saskatchewan. The scientists tested blood and muscle oxygen levels of both masked and unmasked cyclists and found that face coverings had a minimal impact on the amount of oxygen absorbed by their bodies—even during vigorous exercise. Study author Philip Chilibeck, Ph.D., says the research shows wearing masks under normal circumstances has no detrimental effect on oxygen uptake.
