First For Women

Some bunny cares

-

“While browsing in my local drugstore, I stopped to pick out a few Easter cards next to the section where all the chocolate bunnies, jelly beans and Easter baskets were displayed. Just then, another woman strolled by, eyeing all the goodies.

“‘Hard to believe it’s that time already,’ the woman said. I nodded. ‘It always makes me miss my childhood,’ I responded, surprised when it came out so easily. ‘I miss the days of getting a basket filled with candy. It used to feel so magical.’ I chuckled as I went on my way and finished my shopping.

“Twenty minutes later, when I went to check out, the cashier stared at me, then broke into a smile. ‘You’re the blond lady with the pink sweater and jeans,’ she said, then reached underneath the counter and handed over a large bag. ‘One of my customers told me to give this to you when you came through the checkout.’

“Dumbfounded, I opened the bag and saw a basket with Easter grass filled with treats, including a tall chocolate bunny. Tears filled my eyes as I saw a note tucked among it all that read: May your Easter

be truly magical!”
