“I earn 6 figures a year selling customized meal plans!”

“I was a busy working mom, and the most stressful part of my life was making dinner. I wanted to eat healthy and save money, but I needed a way to get organized and plan for the week. I couldn’t find anything that worked, so I came up with my own system. I took out my grocery store’s sales flyer, created an Excel document and planned a week’s worth of meals based on what was on sale.

The first month, I saved $347! I told my friends about it, and soon others asked me to share it with them. I realized my solution could help others, so in 2016 I launched TheDinnerDaily.com.

“I took baby steps to grow the business. I’d pick up sales flyers at local grocery stores, and I used a rudimentary database to enter in all the data. I also found a local mom who was a graphic designer to build my website.

“People sign up for a membership for $4 to $6 a month and receive weekly menus, shopping lists, coupons and recipes built around their local sales. My cousin helped me create all the recipes based on what worked for us as moms. I don’t have a culinary background, but I took a few cooking classes, and it’s always been a passion of mine.

“I market the business on social media and our blog. We’ve also received some press. Today, the business brings in six figures a year—money that is saved for my son’s college tuition or a splurge like a weekend of shopping with my daughter!”

“I bring in a full-time income sharing money-saving tips on YouTube!”

“I’ve worked as an accountant, commercial real estate broker and family investor. When my husband retired early, however, I started to look for ways to make extra money. To share what I learned, I launched two websites and started a YouTube channel. When I realized that I could make money on the videos I posted, I was thrilled.

“Launching the channel was easy. I did some research and took a course, but I learned a lot from watching YouTube videos. I also bought a camera, an $18 mic and some lighting equipment, but you Camille Gaines,

can also use your computer or an Austin, TX

iPad to record. I usually get my ideas for the videos while I’m out walking or when I learn something new and want to share it with others. I talk about my own journey, alternate retirement strategies and making money after 50, such as creating new income streams and launching an online business. I post new videos about once a week. People find me from searching, but I also use my email list to market the channel.

“I love helping other people make and save money for retirement. There are so many opportunities, and I wake up excited every day to share what I know! I make a full-time income— money that goes back into the business and allows our family to travel!”

“I make $100k a year teaching women how to manage their finances!”

“Five years ago, my husband and I were over $100,000 in debt. We filed for bankruptcy, but we still owed about $20,000, so I followed a budget every day and created Excel spreadsheets to pay most of it off. I knew other people were in debt and overwhelmed with their finances too, so last year, I decided to share what I learned and launch my business (www.NicoleBarham.com).

“To get the business off the ground, I formed an LLC and put a website together, which was easy to do. To spread the word, I set up a Facebook business page and joined some Facebook groups. I also started talking to people to find out what their biggest challenges were with managing their money.

“Today, I sell easy, customizable spreadsheets and a money-tracking system for people to manage their personal finances each month, as well as ‘5 Minute Bookkeeper,’ a product for entrepreneurs to keep track of everything, be prepared for tax season and make decisions about their businesses. The spreadsheets sell for $197 to $297. I also sell ‘5 Minute Money Slay,’ a group coaching program over Zoom.

“I work mostly with mom entrepreneurs who want to stop stressing about money and have financial peace of mind, but don’t want to follow a strict daily budget. Some of my clients also don’t have the time, energy or inclination to do it themselves.

“I use Facebook and Instagram to spread the word about my business, but a lot of my clients are word-ofmouth referrals. I’m so passionate about helping people take control of their finances and make sure they have money in the bank for emergencies and the future. I make up to $100,000 a year—money that goes back into the business, which includes paying my first employee: my daughter!”
