Data gathered from 2,000 Americans found that those who drank at least six glasses daily were not only less tired through the week but were significantly happier and more optimistic. Previous research has shown that drinking water increases the flow of blood and oxygen to the brain, improving concentration and memory and helping to keep energy, mood and emotions balanced to fend off depression and anxiety.
