Cocoa waffle wow
“Homemade waffles are a beloved Sunday morning breakfast at my house,” shares Charles Grayauskie, FIRST associate food editor. “This week, I decided to surprise everyone with my crispy-outside, fluffy-inside nutty chocolate version. To make: I heat a waffle iron to medium-high heat. Next, I mix 13⁄4 cups of milk, 2 eggs, 1⁄4 cup of Nutella and 1 tsp. of vanilla extract. I stir in 11⁄ cups of flour,
2
1⁄4 cup of sugar, 1⁄4 cup of cocoa powder, 2 tsp. of baking powder and 1⁄ tsp. of
2 salt. I pour the batter into the waffle iron and cook as directed. Then I layer each waffle with more Nutella and sliced strawberries They’re surprisingly easy to whip up and always win raves!”
