So say researcher­s in Clinical Endocrinol­ogy, who found participan­ts over 60 in their study actually lost slightly more weight than their younger counterpar­ts. Successful subjects caught up on sleep and were encouraged to make simple changes to stay physically active, says study author Thomas Barber, M.D. Switching to a low-carb diet with more fiber was also key, he says: “Fiber intake is a really important lifestyle factor for weight loss, and also to optimize overall health and well-being.”
