So say researchers in Clinical Endocrinology, who found participants over 60 in their study actually lost slightly more weight than their younger counterparts. Successful subjects caught up on sleep and were encouraged to make simple changes to stay physically active, says study author Thomas Barber, M.D. Switching to a low-carb diet with more fiber was also key, he says: “Fiber intake is a really important lifestyle factor for weight loss, and also to optimize overall health and well-being.”
