Cornell researcher­s say turmeric’s curcumin tamps down the production of pain-triggering hormones (prostaglan­dins). Tip: Adding a slice of lemon and 1 tsp. of honey to turmeric tea (hot or iced) improves fluid and nutrient absorption.
