Fast goodbye to fatty liver
Reversing nonalcoholic fatty liver disease doesn’t require medicine or losing lots of weight. U.K. researchers found that up to 60% of subjects with the condition—where fat accumulates in the organ, disrupting its ability to filter out toxins— who walked, then cycled every other day for 12 weeks (starting at 15 minutes and working up to 45) stopped the buildup of proteins that lead to damage. The scientists say the research is promising because it shows that fatty liver can be improved without significant weight loss.
