This lovely 1940s-era home is an eclectic, vibrant mix of nostalgic and modern treasures.

FROM THE OUTSIDE, CAROLINE COLEMAN’S HOME LOOKS LIKE MANY OF THE OTHER 1940S-ERA HOUSES ON HER STREET. It’s perhaps just the red front door that offers a hint of the colorful quirkiness that is inside. An avid collector of vintage memorabilia, Caroline has filled her house with an eclectic mix of distinctive pieces that she has rooted out from antiques fairs, charity shops and flea markets.

CAROLINE DISCOVERED THE BARBER’S CHAIR in a French flea market, and Craig made the metal ampersand light.
