LOVE OF JUNK
June 15 and 16
THIS MARKET TAKES PLACE ON A BEAUTIFUL FARM IN WALLA WALLA’S WINE COUNTRY. It’s surrounded by 150 wineries and a lavender farm. Sold yet? There’s also a historic downtown area with shops and excellent restaurants. At Love of Junk there are about 75 vendors, food trucks and live music that make this feel like a vacation getaway.
“Our vendors seem to know what is ‘in,’” says founder Barbara Floyd. “A lot of wonderfully done and repurposed things. And the real, authentic stuff. I don’t take things like goat’s milk soap. We aren’t a farmers’ market.” For more details, check out loveofjunk.com.
[GOOD TO KNOW] “WE’VE HAD DIFFERENT WEATHER EVERY YEAR,”
laughs Barbara. “We have had it freezing, high winds, rain, beautiful sunny days. So be prepared and come to have fun. You’ll be overlooking the Blue Mountains.” No pets and the event is smoke-free. Kids
under age 12 are free, $5 admission for others.
