Flea Market Décor
Opposite: NATURAL ELEMENTS
such as pinecones and large bulbs of Amaryllis fill the fireplace mantel, while lights and lanterns give it a touch of magic. “Sometimes the bulbs start to flower,” says Margot. “When you’re lucky, they’ll give you wonderful red flowers.” A great sense of nature and outdoors is reflected in two of Margot’s wreaths: one inside the fireplace, made of tree bark. The other wreath uses brown and other natural colors, fruits from autumn and winter, wooden stars, a bit of gold and bronze décor and, of course, the “hunting trophy” (a sturdy stone deer, sporting a faux-fur shawl).
