SANTA’S PLATTER OF MILK AND COOKIES can have a Western feel this year with True West’s Christmas line of vintage reproduction dinnerware. In 1990, True West began reproducing Westward Ho Rodeo China based on the classic 1940s vintage Wallace China patterns. In 2004, they added a Christmas line, including plates, serving platters and mugs.

“Our Christmas line was inspired when Mark Clay, our owner, was visiting artist Till Goodan’s daughter, Betty Goodan Andrews, out in California to finalize our licensing agreement with Till’s estate,” says Pat Turner, Director of Sales & Marketing at True West. “She pulled out a box of vintage Christmas cards that her dad had designed back in the ’40s and ’50s, and it was kind of a no-brainer moment.” Mixing the art into their regular Rodeo and Boots and Saddle Pattern created their second most popular line.
