WW I Aeroplanes

I know FJ doesn’t spend much time on WW I airplanes, but as a modeler, I love them. Can you do more articles on them? Also, I’ve heard they’re hard to fly. Are they? Charlie Brennard, Tulsa, Oklahoma

I’ve flown a Nieuport 11 with a rotary engine, a DR.1 with a Warner radial, and a Jenny with an OX-5. I’d use the word “different” (very different) more than “hard.” The rotary definitely gets your attention. But that’s all they knew back in the day.—BD
