Any on­board com­puter-gen­er­ated glides­lope re­quires WAAS, ex­cept for those GPS units cer­ti­fied with baro-VNAV, which will al­low de­scent to LNAV/VNAV min­i­mums.

LNAV/VNAV iden­ti­fies APV min­i­mums de­vel­oped to ac­com­mo­date an RNAV IAP with ver­ti­cal guid­ance, but with lat­eral and ver­ti­cal in­tegrity lim­its larger than a pre­ci­sion ap­proach or LPV. (AIM 5-4-5)
