Director and Nike loyalist Spike Lee doesn’t hold back in his latest film.

Filmmaker Spike Lee stopped by the “TimesTalks” series in New York last week to promote his new work, “BlacKkKlansman,” which released Friday. The director wore Air Jordan 1 Top 3s featuring a distinctive red, white and blue colorway. The retro kicks were fitting as Lee discussed the Grand Prix-winning movie, which takes place in the early ’70s.
