Center Stage

- — Nikara Johns

Kenneth Cole is taking his stance on social issues to the stage. The company has teamed up with Broadway’s musical comedy “The Prom” to help support the human rights of LGBTQI+ people. The partnership includes a fundraising initiative for the United Nations Foundation in support of U.N. Free & Equal, a global campaign to promote human rights. Kenneth Cole also created a custom T-shirt as part of the “Prom” merchandise line. Net proceeds from the sale of the tee will be donated to the U.N. Foundation. The brand’s popular Pride Kam sneakers, which are seen onstage during the show’s finale, will also be available to purchase on the musical’s official merchandise site. “We’re proud to partner with ‘The Prom,’ not just because it is an extraordinary theatrical production but also because of the shared values it portrays and the important story of inclusion and acceptance that it brings to life,” Cole said.
