The NFL’s Most Valuable Teams

-

Stan Kroenke’s L.A. Rams have quadrupled in value in just five years.

The Dallas Cowboys are the National Football League’s most valuable franchise for a 13th straight year, but the league’s biggest winner is surely the Los Angeles Rams, owned by Forbes 400 member Stan Kroenke (net worth: $9.7 billion). The Rams’ value has quadrupled since 2014, one season before they left St. Louis after 21 years to return to their former home in L.A. Led by star quarterback Jared Goff (below), who signed a four-year, $134 million contract extension last month, the Super Bowl runners-up open their new $5 billion stadium next year. The Rams are one of 16 NFL teams (of 32 franchises in all) owned by members of The Forbes 400. The newest owner, David Tepper, who bought the Carolina Panthers last year for a record $2.3 billion, is also now the richest, with a net worth of $12 billion, after the October 2018 death of the Seattle Seahawks’ Paul Allen.
