AT&T: We’re Pushing Our Bar Even Higher
We champion diversity and inclusion in all we do, from bringing in the best talent, to providing innovative development opportunities, to giving our employees a voice —all to support them and our business each day.
Recognizing our efforts, DiversityInc this year honored us with No. 1 rankings on its overall Top 50 Companies for Diversity list and on three of its supporting specialty lists— talent acquisition, mentoring and sponsorships. “Our diverse and inclusive culture grows stronger each year because we embrace new ideas, encourage innovation, challenge assumptions and disrupt the status quo,” says Corey Anthony, senior vice president of HR and chief diversity officer. This spring, we launched a new, six-month development program exclusively for our high-performing African American leaders—the Executive Black Leadership Experience (EBLE). It features strategic workshops and matches participants with advocates and sponsors to deepen their exposure and engagement with leaders companywide. EBLE reflects our commitment to push our bar even higher as a corporate pacesetter in pipeline diversity and talent development. “We provide a culture in which all employees can realize their highest potential,” says Kirk McDonald, chief marketing officer of Xandr and newest AT&T ELC member. “We know that diverse perspectives and experiences at all levels spark keener insight, broader ideas, stronger teamwork and a better understanding of others’ needs.” In becoming a modern telecommunications media and technology company, our diversity and inclusion efforts are now more multidimensional in depth and reach. Through the 250,000 unique individuals that comprise our workforce, we work cohesively as a company to inspire human progress.
