In October 2018, Washington’s newly acquired mining outfit Dominion Diamond unearthed a 552-carat yellow diamond 135 miles south of the Arctic Circle, the largest ever found in North America. That same month his 332-foot yacht Attessa IV collided with a commercial fishing boat, causing one death and several injuries.
