Before attaining acclaim as a hedge fund manager, Jones edited the front pages of his father’s small business newspaper, the Memphis Daily News.
The macro trader wrote under the pseudonym Paul Eagle while in high school and college. He then made his first million trading cotton futures, before opening Tudor Investment Corp.’s first office (where
he’s pictured) in 1980. Jones, who cofounded anti-poverty group Robin Hood Foundation, helped launch wildlife conservation nonprofit African Community & Conservation Foundation last November.
