A devout Catholic, Langone donated $100,000 to restoration efforts at Notre-Dame cathedral in Paris, which was severely damaged by fire in April. Since pledging $100 million to the NYU School of Medicine in August 2018 to help students attend tuition-free, the percentage of minority applicants has more than doubled, the school said.
