WAY TO GROW
WITH ITS PROSPERITY HUBS, INTUIT EMPOWERS UNDERSERVED COMMUNITIES.
Intuit has been investing in what it calls “prosperity hubs” in small towns in West Virginia, Kentucky, Tennessee and elsewhere. The company trains workers there in supporting QuickBooks, TurboTax and Mint, creating a virtuous cycle: The workers get paid above market-rate salaries and spur economic growth in rural America. “We’re on a mission to power prosperity around the world, especially for those who need it most,” says CEO Sasan
Goodarzi. “We can create a profound ripple effect that inspires even greater impact on the world around us.” The program has already created 1,500 jobs, and the company says it will create 1,500 more as it expands to new places and new underrepresented groups, including military families.
