Tim Sweeney
His Epic Games took Apple to court this year, alleging monopolistic practices after the tech giant removed Epic’s popular Fortnite from its app store. Epic had installed a payment system to circumvent Apple’s 30% commission on in-app purchases. A judge ruled in September that Apple must permit such links, but ordered Epic to pay Apple $6 million it collected from its own system. Epic, which Sweeney founded in 1991, is appealing.
