Behdad Eghbali
Business is booming for private equity execs Eghbali and Jose E. Feliciano (No. 244). Assets under management at their Clearlake Capital Group jumped 63% since last year to $70 billion, helped by a $14 billion raise for a new fund in May. The rm bought an estimated 60% stake in English Premier League team Chelsea in May; both partners now sit on the board. Eghbali was born in Iran and came to the U.S. with his family as a child. He worked at private equity rm Texas Pacic Group for several years before joining Feliciano, a Puerto Rico native, to form Clearlake in 2006. He and his wife, whom he reportedly met on Wall Street, got married on Ellis Island.
