A perfect storm of economic, political and pandemic woes led to the biggest destruction of wealth in China in two decades. Over the last 12 months the fortunes of China’s 100 richest people plunged 39% to $907 billion. The biggest loser? Tencent founder Ma “Pony Ma” Huateng (No. 4 below), down 52%, or $25.7 billion.
