A perfect storm of economic, political and pandemic woes led to the biggest destructio­n of wealth in China in two decades. Over the last 12 months the fortunes of China’s 100 richest people plunged 39% to $907 billion. The biggest loser? Tencent founder Ma “Pony Ma” Huateng (No. 4 below), down 52%, or $25.7 billion.
