Those bulky bal­lis­tic ny­lon cases have gone the way of dial-up in­ter­net. To­day’s road war­rior should have a sleek leather bag made for slim­mer com­put­ers. (Or if you fly without one, a few pa­pers and a pass­port.) It should also have in­ner pock­ets de­signed for to­day’s dig­i­tal ne­ces­si­ties: a smart­phone, head­phones, a charger, ex­tra cords—and even that oddly use­ful ana­log de­vice known as a pen.
