William Gerald Wuori
William Gerald (Jerry ) Wuori completed his life’s journey on Monday, August 10th, 2020 after a brief illness at the age of 76. Jerry was born in Detroit Michigan to Pentti Wuori and Eileen McGlue, but spent his childhood in Fort Bragg, graduating high school with the class of 1961. He then joined the U.S. Navy and served for four years. Jerry graduated from California Polytechnic State University in 1973 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. He resided in Salinas, California, working as an accountant. While in Salinas, he married and raised his son William G. Wuori, Jr. and daughters Niki and Jennifer His work transferred him to Seattle, Washington in 2007, where he met and married his best friend Gwendolyn Gray in 2009. He established his own Accounting and Tax Preparation business in 2010. In May of 2018, Jerry and Gwen moved to Gwen’s hometown of Longview, Texas. Jerry was energetic, adventurous, and loved to travel. He leaves behind to cherish his memory: wife Gwendolyn Gray Wuori, son William G. Wuori Jr., daughters Niki Eldridge and Jennifer Cupak, sisters Patricia Lotten and Coleen Jordan; brothers Ernie Paul, Michael and Timothy Salo. He also leaves eight grandchildren, three greatgrandchildren, three step-children and his mother-inlaw Maurine V. Gray. Jerry has many extended family members and friends who love and miss his sweet face. Jerry is interred at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific, also known as The Punchbowl.
His remains are located in Court 13, Wall L, Niche
131. On September 24th, 2021, the family of W.G. (Jerry ) Wuori will be having a Celebration of Life at Our Lady of Good Counsel Parish Hall ,615 Maple Street in Fort Bragg. We want to invite all who knew and loved Jerry to join us in remembering a truly remarkable man. Come tell your stories, share your photos, and maybe shed a tear. 9/24/2021 1:00
