Pets of the week: Kratos, Lily and Neesha

-

If our staff had to describe Kratos in one word, it would be “goober,” which we have lovingly nicknamed him. Kratos, born in 2017, is a big goofball that charms everyone he meets with his floppy ears and wiggly body. Not only is he handsome as heck, but he has the brains to match. He knows his basic commands and is so eager to please- especially when he smells a treat! He knows a harness means he gets to go for a walk and will nuzzle your hand to try to get you to put the harness on faster. He may be large in stature, but Kratos is very polite on walks and rarely pulls. Because he is one of the new kids, we aren’t totally sure how he is with other dogs, but from what we have seen so far, we believe he would be fine with most dogs if not all. We are also not sure how he is with cats but think he may not have a problem with them either. When it comes to people, we are sure that he loves everyone! He is great with strangers and will confidently approach, wagging his stub of a tail and presenting his head for a nice scratch behind the ears. Kratos is an athletic dog who would thrive with someone who will give him the exercise he needs. He would make a great sidekick for any activity and be the perfect loyal companion.

Cat: Lily and Neesha, born in 2015, were extremely shy when they first came to us, but they’ve started coming out of their shell (and hidey-holes) much more, proving to be very curious, adventurous, and gentle cats who like watching the goings-on in the hallway. Lily is slightly more outgoing than her sister Neesha, but they will both probably always be a little uncertain in new environments and with new people. They tend to stick close to each other and help each other be more confident. If Lily and Neesha come home with you, be aware that they might be very shy and inclined to hide for a few weeks while they adjust to their new surroundings: We promise it will be worth the wait!
