Pets of the week: Hope and Cleone

-

When it comes to Hope, we truly can’t find any negatives. For starters, we refer to her as our “Miss Congeniality.” Hope loves everyone: people, kids, dogs, cats, you name it! She is happy to make friends wherever and with whomever. Hope was transferred to MCHS from Lake County due to overcrowding. Born in 2021, Hope still has some of her puppy energy left, but she listens well to directions and is always polite with a little encouragement. She’s an intelligent girl who knows basic commands and is easily trainable. She is also a great walker and eager to accompany you wherever you go. Hope’s dream home is an environment where she gets a lot of socialization, adventure, and playtime. Her convenient size of 45 pounds makes her a great companion for just about anyone. We love this girl so much we almost don’t want to give her up, but we hope she goes to a good home soon!

Cat: Cleone, born in 2020, is a sweet, good-natured cat who’s always a delight to be around. He likes attention and loves playing, especially with wand toys that let him get in some acrobatics. You’re just as likely to find him snoozing in a patch of sun or playing with one of the other cats. His charming, flexible personality would make him a great fit for a variety of households, including if he’s your first cat. We don’t know how Cleone feels about young children yet, but he would likely be okay with a slow introduction. We also don’t know how well Cleone gets along with dogs, but mellower dogs would likely be okay, especially if you go slow.
