Guest House Docents

The Guest House Museum in Fort Bragg needs additional volunteer docents. Being a museum docent isn’t hard, and it only takes a few hours a month. Being a docent is a lot like being a good host in your own home. Docents greet everyone who comes through the museum’s front door.

It’s where anyone can learn about Fort Bragg, the region, and what went into forming and keeping this community thriving. You don’t need to be a historian or “history nerd,” and training is available. To find out more, call 707 9644251 or send an email to info@fortbragghistory. org.

Bragg Garden Club

All are invited to join Fort Bragg Garden Club on Monday, January 9 at 1:00 at the Mendocino Coast Botanical Garden’s Education Center, also known as the Farm House. Jerry Georgette will join the meeting from San Carlos via Zoom to share his knowledge of Composting Basics for the home gardener. For those who’d prefer to join the meeting via Zoom, email fbgcpresident@mcn.org for the link.

Jerry Georgette is a Consulting Rosarian with the American Rose Society.

He founded and leads a NextDoor-based group of home gardeners where he shares his knowledge and passion for all things gardening.
