Art Explorers

We are ready to welcome a new year — this First Friday we are featuring artwork about Chinese New Year, the year of the rabbit. The rabbit represents peace and longevity, and good luck for all! Edgewater Gallery

In February, Edgewater Gallery will host abstract artist Gurdon “Murph” Miller Gurdon Miller, who will open his show on First Friday, February 3, at Edgewater Gallery from 5-8. “I have drawn and painted for as long as I can remember. I majored in art at UC Berkeley in the 1960s.

I make acrylic paintings from small enough for an apartment, to impractica­lly large. I also paint watercolor­s and make large-format silver-gelatin photograph­s. My paintings are abstract but are related to landscapes or objects that occur in nature. My studio is in Fort Bragg.” Edgewater Gallery is located at 356 North Main Street in Fort Bragg.
