Congrats! You all are some real diehard anglers! I mean, do you remember what the weather was like last Saturday? Blizzard conditions!

One of the fishermen said, “Huge shout out to everyone who made it out through this crazy strom! Launching boats in the snow, traveling from out of town, freezing temperatures and a real tuff bite! We lost most of the teams due to weather and these 5 teams made it out! Thank you.” — Here kitty — kitty. Upper Mill Creek Pond: The steel/head trout stocking program sin full swing right now. The Upper Mill Creek Pond fish stocking schedule are usually not published in advance. I hear about them after the fact. It’s a good thing. Can you just imagine all the people that would be up there if it was public knowledge?

Thank you California Department of Fish & Wildlife for doing such a fine job stocking this waterway.

Upper Blue Lakes:

One of Ukiah’s most experienced anglers told me that the trout fishin’

on Blue Lakes starting to get good right now! The folks trolling have been doing the best. The trout are hold in about 20 feet of water. Running thru them with a action disc trailed with a wooly-buger has been working well. Also, folks that are fishing from docks or along Hwy. 20 have hooked into some beauty’s using powerbait off the bottom.

Trout plant:

Woo hoo! The California Department of Fish and Wildlife will be stocking Lake Pillsbury with Rainbow’s this week! So, with that being said, put on your thermals and putter up to the high country and give it a go! Can you amagine how beautiful it must be up at Lake Pillsbury right now? If nothing else, drive up and have a snow ball fight with your kids…

Yeah sure, the snow has been real cool? I liked it. But Dat-burn it, there goes the pre-spawn bass bite .. The bass fishin’ is gonna be a struggle until we can stack a couple weeks of nice Spring days. That’s fishin’.

Thanks for reading and remember to keep it reel! Don = 4REEL Fishin’
