died March 17th in Fort Bragg, peacefully at home. She was born in Lenoir, N.C. June 14, 1946.

Some of her favorite things were good movies, gardening, taking long walks along the ocean, birds and wildlife, reading, fishing, cooking, crocheting, and getting together with family. Dee had a passion for traveling and enjoyed the outdoors and camping; and she and her husband Duncan especially loved to travel around the Pacific Northwest in their motorhome. She was a long-time member of Soroptimis­t Internatio­nal of Fort Bragg and a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. Dee was raised and educated in Southern California and moved to Fort Bragg with her family in 1977. She was a legal secretary for local attorney, Tom Lonergan for many years. Later, Dee had a successful career in real estate until her retirement in 2010. She was preceded in death by her parents Julius and Norma Greene, and brother Stephen Greene. Deanna is survived by her loving family, husband, Duncan Thomson of Fort Bragg; son and daughter-in-law Stephen and Kathy Collins of Dover, DE; grandson, Travis Collins of Lake Havasu, AZ; Daughter, Patty Neumeier of Fort Bragg, and granddaugh­ter, Maya Neumeier of Los Angeles, CA. She also leaves behind her sister Donna Romero of Green Valley, CA and Sister-in-law Suzanne Greene of Washington, UT, and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

Our special thanks to UCSF Women’s Health Mission Bay and Dr. Swanson with her amazing team; Adventist Health Emergency Room and Cancer Infusion Center; Dr. Sharma, Maxine Webster NP-C and their caring, kind staff, for their quality personaliz­ed care and unwavering dedication.

There will be a celebratio­n of life, April 25th at 2:00 p.m., at Trinity Lutheran Church, 620 E. Redwood Ave. in Fort Bragg.

In Lieu of donations, please go to a place that brings you peace and joy and take a deep breath. There will be a graveside service on Friday, April 26th at 10:00 a.m. at Ocean View Cemetery.
