FORWARD AT 120

Forward Magazine - - Shima Now -

On November 26, 1944, Forward staff writer and future Nobel Prize-winner Isaac Bashevis Singer confronted the eternally vexing question of intermarriage. More than 70 years later, some of the arguments he presents are no longer pertinent. But, in Chana Pollack and Myrna Mniewski’s translation, it is astonishing to see just how much of Singer’s essay reads as if it could have been written yesterday.
