Anna Ca­han (née Bron­stein) was the Forverts’ first arts and cul­ture critic writ­ing reg­u­larly on mu­sic, theatre and lit­er­a­ture. She was known for her dig­ni­fied, deeply in­tel­lec­tual char­ac­ter, un­wa­ver­ing sense of jus­tice and her ex­ten­sive on­go­ing in­flu­ence on Ab Ca­han and the Jewish la­bor move­ment.
