The streets of At­lanta will spring to life today as a 4.4-mile stretch of street from Down­town to Lake Claire is opened to peo­ple on foot and bike, and closed to mo­tor­ized traf­fic (ex­cept for in­ter­sec­tions where cars will be free to cross). Or­ga­nized by the At­lanta Bi­cy­cle Coali­tion, this is the first At­lanta Streets Alive of the year. Join as or­ga­niz­ers in­tro­duce a brand new SAGE At­lanta’s bi-monthly meet­ings oc­cur from 10:30 a.m. – 1 p.m. on the Mu­seum of De­sign At­lanta’s orig­i­nal ex­hi­bi­tion, De­sign­ing Play­ful Cities, takes vis­i­tors through in­ter­ac­tive in­stal­la­tions that present a strong case for de­sign­ing play into ur­ban en­vi­ron­ments.
