Who hasn’t heard of the play “Sor­did Lives”? Del Shores’ in­de­pen­dent films have be­come a well-known part of LGBTQ cul­ture. Shores di­rects and pro­duces his own work for theater, film, and TV and tells the sto­ries of char­ac­ters ev­ery­one can re­late to. He of­ten uses his work to raise money and aware­ness for var­i­ous LGBTQ causes. Next month, Shores’ “A Sor­did Three Ring Circus” will present the com­edy to ben­e­fit Pos­i­tive Im­pact Health Cen­ters. for telling the sto­ries of the LGBTQIA. The theater is also known for show­cas­ing its pop­u­lar plays and host­ing fes­ti­vals that in­clude mu­si­cals. Run­ners-up are Ac­tor’s Ex­press, and The­atri­cal Out­fit. Trump pres­i­dency and teach­ing chil­dren how to undo white supremacy. Run­ners-up are Book Nook and Ox­ford Comics.
