But the real star is the moun­tain of shrimp – per­fectly flash-fried to a golden, ten­der per­fec­tion rem­i­nis­cent of great tem­pura. It’s one of their most pop­u­lar sand­wiches and it’s easy to see why.

Pork Belly Tacos

bar­taco to sug­ary in­dul­gence un­der con­struc­tion, wait­ing for the day it would fi­nally open its doors, hav­ing looked at the menu to this dough­nut shop on­line and set­tled my mind on sam­pling their candied ba­con. And it didn’t dis­ap­point: Smokey, chewy strips of ba­con are dipped in your choice of choco­late sauce or brown sugar (plain or spicy), creat­ing the sug­ary and salty sen­sa­tion I live for. It’s sort of like ba­con candy! It’s not ex­actly healthy eat­ing, but for a once in a while in­dul­gence, a few strips are in or­der.
