In 2019, we welcomed 122 groups, including the Hobie 16 World Championships. It marked the first time in 35 years that the championships had taken place in the United States! The famed race brought almost 500 sailors from 25 countries and
6 continents right here to South Seas, where our beloved Sunset Beach served as the perfect launching spot for sailors.
We continue to eagerly tell the story of our ongoing transformations as we continue the tradition of excellence throughout the resort. Over the past year, guests have enjoyed our newest Sunset Beach hot spots: Latitudes Food Shack and Attitudes Beach Bar.

Fun on the water continues on Waverunners, parasail rides, kayaks, stand-up paddleboards, and banana boats at on-site Sunny Island Adventures. Kayak or paddleboard in search of sea turtles or step aboard a Captiva Cruises vessel to watch the sun melt into the horizon during a sunset cruise.
For epic back-bay fishing, rent equipment or charter a boat with one of our resident fishing guides or rent a deck, pontoon or centerconsole boat to enjoy exhilarating sea air. The thrilling experience of learning to sail also awaits at South Seas.
Our Captiva Golf Course and Blackwood Tennis Academy are perfect for sports enthusiasts. Staying fit is easy with our fitness center, daily yoga classes at Ambu Yoga Studio, and resort jogging maps ranging from easy walks to five-mile beach runs.
