The science behind bath bombs:

Bath bombs include three key ingredients: baking soda, citric acid and cornstarch. The fizz comes from the chemical reaction that happens when the baking soda and citric acid come into contact with water. In water, baking soda quickly dissolves, and the sodium in it breaks apart from the other components and starts to react with the citric acid. Together, they form sodium citrate and carbon dioxide, which is what bubbles and breaks the bath bomb up to reveal foaming, colorful swirls!
